This session will be delivered by Lisa Dennis, an EBSCO trainer, and Kyle Armour, from PLSB, via a group teleconference and online demonstration.

This workshop will provide an overview of the key features of NoveList, including layout, searching, finding "read-alikes" for all ages, as well as reviews, lists of best books, and book discussion guides. Participants will also get to preview a new NoveList interface coming this summer! Take a sneak peak at the new layout and discover even more features to help readers!

    Live Meeting Instructions

Important Note: You will need access to the Live Meeting email invitation your instructor sends you to get started on the day of your training session.

What to do 2-3 days before your training session:

    • Watch for an invitation from your trainer to join a Live Meeting session in your email inbox.
    • Read the instructions. If possible, we recommend you install the LiveMeeting software a few days before your session. The other option is to use the Web-based console (no downloading or installation required). Both versions are fine for this session.
    • Contact PLSB staff if you have any questions about the LiveMeeting software or the workshop.

What to do on the day of your training session:

    1. approx. 15 minutes before your session:
Use the 'Click here to Join Live Meeting' link in the email invitation.
      • It will take a minute or two for you to be connected. If you choose to use the Web-based console, cancel the option to download the Windows console and wait for the option to use the Web console.
    2. 5-10 minutes before your session:
Dial the number specified in your invitation to join the teleconference. Use the access code supplied.

    Other Requirements

    • Each participant in the workshop must have access to a computer and phone during the workshop (2 people sharing is fine with a speakerphone).

    • At least three days before the workshop, ensure you can access NoveList via your library's web site. You do not need to have a session of NoveList running during the presentation but will need to access it before or after the webinar to do practice questions.
