For participants requiring hotel accommodation during the session, block reservations at government rates have been made at The Fairmont Empress and The Marriott Victoria Inner Harbour for the nights of October 16 & 17. Both hotels offer excellent access to the event venues.
Participants are responsible for making their own reservations using their own credit cards to secure the reservation.
Rates at the Fairmont Empress
$90 (plus applicable taxes) per night for a standard room (single or double occupancy), with free upgrades to a deluxe room if available. Please quote that you are with the Public Library Services Branch group to get this rate. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am. The direct hotel reservation line is 250.384.8111. Rates at The Marriott Inner Harbour
$90 (plus applicable taxes) per night for a Deluxe room (single occupancy), $120 (plus taxes) for per night for a Deluxe room (double occupancy). Please quote that you are with the Public Library Services of the Ministry of Education group to get this rate. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is 12 noon. Important cut-off dates to note:
- September 16, 2006 – the last day that these special rates and reserved rooms will be available.
- October 14, 2006 – the last day to cancel a reservation without being charged a penalty.
